This is me
Hi, I’m Simona and I live in Denmark. I’m married and have 3 amazing kids – ages 8, 12 and 18. I’m born in 1969 in the southern part of Denmark, near the German border – neatless to say – I still live here .
I have a business where I create life story books for children and adults, with graphic designed book pages and fill-in-the-blanks questions. I’ve had this business since 2004 and some day my books will appear in English.
I’ve always had a love for photography, but I’ve never really learned to do it right. When I was a teenager I had an old-fashioned dark room and I’m so happy for digital photography – no more dark room, fluids and red light. But back then I loved it. My photography and dark room. I gave it up for a while, ’cause it was an expensive hobby – buying film, fluids, photo paper and much more.
However, in my late 20′s I purchased a SLR camera (not digital) and it took amazing photos. I used the auto mode most of the time and it still took amazing pictures – it’s not the same with a DSLR, gee! I used this camera (a Nikon) until the digital cameras appeared and I went for a point and shoot. What a challenge to get used to, but okay, I have some good point-n-shoot photos.
In 2009 I purchased a DSLR – FINALLY! Now I could afford it, but had to learn everything over again – the settings! You can read more about this here. Today I know my camera and am still learning.
Why this blog?
I made this blog to enter photo challenges and other fun on the web. Very inspired by Rebecca Cooper’s Simple Things Sunday I want to participate by linking up to this great idea of sharing a simple weekly photo. I want to connect with other photographers like myself and learn even more. I want to be inspired by others all the time and constantly get new ideas.
If you’ve read so far I hope you’ll connect with me, inspire me and I hope that I can inspire you as well.
